The lighting on the morning of this shoot was overcast and grey. Since I am still refining my manual camera settings, I chose to shoot in manual mode to better control the exposure. While the aperture and shutter speed were standard for the conditions, the camera picked a high ISO, which typically introduces digital noise. However, because the robin remained sharp and clear, I didn’t need to apply any grain reduction during editing, opting instead for just a few selective masks which I have detailed below. The last finishing touches I added was a vignette effect in the Edit section to darken the edges and give the Robin the last little pop.
